We are proud to share that Nuestro Mundo Public Charter School has shown significant improvement in its English Language Arts (ELA) performance on the Rhode Island Comprehensive Assessment System (RICAS). Since opening in 2021, our school has been committed to fostering bilingual education and ensuring academic growth. This year, we are thrilled to report a

In the 2022-2023 school year, 10.2% of students met or exceeded expectations. Fast forward to 2023-2024, and 20% of our 105 students achieved the same milestone. This leap forward speaks volumes about the hard work of our students, teachers and staff.
Under the leadership of our Head of School, Danira Ortiz, we have implemented targeted initiatives focused on closing the achievement gap, such as hiring interventionists and investing in professional development. Our vision remains clear: to empower multilingual learners and continue this upward trajectory. We are not just a bilingual school for English learners—Nuestro Mundo is a place where students, whether they are learning English or Spanish, are empowered and guided as global citizens.
