The Nuestro Mundo lottery took place on Monday April 1st, 2024 for the 2024-25 School Year. Families of children that are offered seats as well as waiting list numbers will be notified via email by April 5th 2024. Please check your email for details.   • What are the benefits of learning at Nuestro Mundo Public Charter School?

    The NM educational program follows a two-way immersion dual-language model. The three pillars of dual-language immersion are:


    • Bilingualism & Biliteracy – high proficiency levels in oral and literacy skills in both English and Spanish
    • Grade Level Academic Achievement – meeting or exceeding academic standards set for respective grade levels in both languages
    • Sociocultural Competency – seeing cultural differences as assets
  • What does a typical day look like?

    As a charter school, we have the flexibility, ability and goal to offer more enriching opportunities and experiences for our students of all grade levels based on their needs and progress. Each day is unique in different parts of our school. 

    However, here is an example of a general daily schedule:


    8:05 - 8:25am  Arrival & Breakfast 

    8:25 - 8:40am  Morning Meeting

    8:40 - 9:50am  Math Instruction

    9:50 - 11:25am  Language Arts

    11:25am - 12:25pm  Recess and Lunch

    12:25 - 2:20pm  Project Block

    2:20 - 3:15pm  Enrichment 

    (Music, PE, Art, STEAM, Environmental Justice)

    3:15pm  Vocabulary Enrichment & Dismissal


  • When is the registration deadline?

    To be entered in the April 1st lottery each year, you must apply on EnrollRI.org by early March. The application opens back up in late April to apply for any available seats. 

  • Do I need to live in Providence for my child to attend Nuestro Mundo PCS?

    Yes, we can only accepts students that live in Providence.
