Thus, our school nurse has worked in facilitating Rhode Island's guidelines for safe, in-person instruction at our school. To ensure minimal propagation of the COVID-19 virus, Nuestro Mundo faculty and students:
- Must complete the daily COVID-19 questionnaire for families and their students that records recent symptoms and decides entry to the school building
- Must do weekly COVID-19 tests every Monday. Testing occurs per grade at the nurse's office
- Must wear a mask at all times (except for eating and drinking)
- Must keep a distance of at least 6ft from each other.
Quarantine
In order to ensure minimal spread of COVID-19, students who have been exposed must stay at home. Our nurse will be in contact with parents to guide through the specifics of quarantine and testing.
Only if parents and guardians have sent negative test results to the nurse and are asymptomatic will students be able to come back to school. It is extremely important that the test results are sent as soon as the are available. Please reach out to our main office at 401-210-1555 or email us at info@nmpcs.k12.ri.us with questions or concerns.
