Our mission

The mission of Nuestro Mundo is to prepare students to be global citizens and stewards of our environment. Using a multilingual and multicultural lens, our students have the knowledge and skills to realize empathy and connect their learning to the community and with a larger global audience.

From the beginning

We are a group of educators exploring the feasibility and interest in opening a public charter school in Providence, RI which will focus on the educational principles of environmental sustainability and dual language Immersion. The school would be for both dominant English and dominant Spanish speaking students where all students acquire strong literacy skills and academic achievement in both languages while engaging in projects to support the local community and environment.

Where we are now
